just a little fun hand --> is there an extra thread?

just a fun hand from my last session that made me laugh right after I saw the two nice board runouts :-D that's why this one time I show the results ;-)

strategically I called in SB vs a tight 14% openraiser (overall) knowing that in the BB sits a rather loose player that see and takes squeezing opportunities. So my plan was to call for setmining only if MP calls too giving myself good implied odds.

I gave BB TT+, and some heart flush draws with broadways (and obviously he can have 99 or 88 sometimes).

My first session on NL5 was a bit unlucky overall with KK vs AA, QQ vs KK and a flush over flush (J high vs. K high) with 2nd pair and backdoor on a AJ2 rainbow flop and running diamonds. And of course this hand :-)
nevertheless I didn't even lose a whole stack over 800 hands so I see it as a quite good start on the new limit besides the unlucky spots.

CORE is also on again :-)

for 100BB eff. when you know BB is squeeze-happy, this is a fold pre.

what you flat here is QQ+ with the intention to backraise-jam when the BB squeezes and the nit just calls the squeeze

I also don't like the call pre tbh. Your range is pretty much capped at 22-TT and middle strong broadway combos. If you know that bb is loose aggro you should consider trapping with strong hands.
As played unlucky runouts for sure

I agree. Stacks are way to short to justify calling a squeeze happy LAG in hopes of flopping a set. Run this exact hand, positions and actions on 100 different flops and I guarantee it’s a huge -EV play.
