So basically, due to bankroll concerns, it's going to be a couple of months before I can play live poker with any regularity. So, obviously a couple of months without poker is unacceptable, which leaves me online as the only option. My question to the more experienced red chippers is, is it better to play FR at the micros, since it is more analagous to live poker. Or should I go with 6-max? Bearing in mind my ultimate goal is to move up the stakes in live games!
Thanks in advance for the advice guys :)

Neither one will give you the feel of live poker. If your goal is to move up and improve, play 6-max. You'll play more hands, get put into tougher spots, and gain valuable experience.

Thanks for the responses. Ninjah, I think I'm gonna take your advice until I've got the bank to hit the casinos.

    I think I'll implement this

Here is my opinion. I've played like a million hands of 1/2 or higher online with a slight profit plus rakeback.
I could never beat 6 max. I couldn't adjust to the aggression levels because there is so much more defending going on. (that and playing too many tables)

I find full ring to be most similar to Live. Obviously, the amount of live players who will be bad are much greater than the online version.
