correct play?

About 1.5 hours into this new table and have already picked up on a few players and how they've been playing. Heres the scenario....
Hero(button) $300~ :8h:7h
SB (Haven't seen him play to many hands if any that I can remember) $300~
UTG (LAG very aggressive and will call all the way down and catch) $500~
MP+1 (Fish, calls just about anything with anything) $150~
MP+2 (From what I've seen she's played any 2 cards and has gotten lucky in just about every hand) $400~
CO (New player don't know much about) $???

It's a straddled pot with MP+1, MP+2, LJ, CO, Hero, BB calling.
UTG raises to $25.
MP+1, MP+2, CO, Hero call (Given the pot odds is why I made the call).
SB Thinks for a few before re-raising to $175 leaving himself with about $125~
UTG complains and banters the move and folds.
MP+1 goes all in for less.
Folds to me.
I tank for a while given the amount of money in the pot and knowing the potential marginal hands that are most likely in play. I was not going to just call and would have shoved rest of my stack. Ultimately I fold.

Board run out :8c:7s:Kd:2s:9c
MP+1 shows :QD::Ts
SB shows :Ad:7d

I would of ultimately had the best hand out of everyone who made the $25 call given what was being said back and forth.

Correct lay down in this case or should I have went with my gut and made the shove?

    Folding is the correct play.

The flop could have come 888 and folding pre is still the right decision.

Take note that you're sitting with some bad poker players and start thinking about how to get their stacks.

I think breezing past the original $25 call as a pot odds no-brainer is a mistake. Take another look at that spot and consider your holding and the SPR being created.

As played, easy fold and don't worry about what happens after you make a correct decision.

Shoving 8 high in this spot would be setting money on fire.
