Top Pair Outdrawn by a Gutshot

$.02/.04 Online 5 players

I am in the HJ with AsQc.
I raise to $.12. BTN and BB calls.

Pot: $.38
Flop: Qs6cTh.
BB checks. I bet $.16. BTN raises to $.43. BB calls. I call.

Pot: $1.67
Turn: Jd
BB bets $.83. I call. BTN folds.

Pot: $3.33
River: 5d
BB shoves and has me covered. I call. BB shows Kc9h.

Was this a bad beat or a blunder? The fact that BTN raised in a 3 way pot suggested having a two pair or set but I am not sure if my hand reading is correct or not. I called since I thought that top pair was strong enough to continue, perhaps being a bit careless. Should I have folded on the turn?

How big was the river shove? Stacks are relevant here.

    I had $4.00 before the hand so it’s a shove with $2.33.

I'd suggest writing down the combos V plays this way and find the % of the ones you're beating.

Why giving action (calling) on the turn against BB donkbet ?

I foolishly couldn't let go of TPTK but knew that TPTK was not strong enough of a hand to raise.

I regrettably should have after seeing a raise and a donk bet.

You should not be result oriented. I think it still could be ok to call the flop raise.

Still, the donkbet is a turning point and you should dig into BB's donkbet range and your equity

Would you normally assign a strong range into a donkbet or a weak one?

Try giving an answer. Put some assumption. You won't be able to ask me when you're at a poker table :)

In hindsight, I think that the only hands that BB would donkbet with are QJ, K9 and 98. With preflop, I think BB would call with Ax, low to medium PP, SC and low broadways since BB would probably 3 bet the better hands. Then with the flop, BB would only call with QJ, K9, KJ, J9, and 98 since BB would probably 3 bet with a two pair or better. Then the donkbet would reduce down to QJ, K9 and 98. Thoughts on my analysis? I don’t know how to build accurate assumptions though, let alone fully factor it into a hand.
