Villain just overbet the pot and you KNOW you're good... what do you do?

Big, juicy hand from last night. $1/3 at the casino.

The table was loose but lukewarm on the aggression. I'd only seen one 3bet in an hour and a half. There's a guy directly to my left playing 95% of hands, calling too much throughout the hand and making ridiculous, nonsensical bluffs when checked to on the river, which were almost always called.

Despite that, he'd been paid off on a number of hands and run into some luck, so at the start of this hand was sitting on about $1k. I too had been running well and had about $700 in front of me.

There was an early position raise to $10 ($15-$20 is a standard open in this game) and there are 2 callers in front of me. I elect to call with :KH: :3H: in the CO knowing that the big guy will be coming along for sure and we're not likely to get isolated from the blinds.

There was a time when I would have squeezed with a hand like this, but have since come to the conclusion that in this game, with so many players eager to see flops, I'm better off reserving such bluffs to late position openers.

Unfortunately, in what's tantamount to a min click squeeze, big boy on my left makes it $30 on the button. It folds around to the guy to my right, who calls and since I can close out the action for $20 into a $100 pot, I call too.

Flop is :3S: :KC: :4S:

The guy on my right checks, I check and the big fella quickly bets $150.

My read before the flop was he wasn't super strong, mostly because a standard squeeze in a spot like that would be closer to $60, and I haven't seen him putting out any unusual bet sizes before. But, given he's an unpredictable type, I can't outright dismiss a strong holding. Now though, with the overbet, and my blocker, I instantly dismiss KK, and 33 or 44 for that matter, because, really, who ever does that, pre or on the flop?

So all I'm left with are flush draws, likely with a K, KQ, AK, AA, or just some random hand like J7 that he can't wait to slap down on table when we both fold.

With top and bottom pair facing an overbet, what's your move here?

You've flopped gin with your POS PF hand. Get it in whatever way you think he'll call.

My opponents last night would call off or shove with any TP hand, a point in favor of either play. You also would like to over price an FD, a point in favor of a shove.

    I'd likely shove.

It looks obvious to me this villain has AA or AK. He has overbet to protect his hand against the spade flush draw

I would probably flat, pray an action killing spade doesn't come, check and watch him shove for protection.

@In The Dark is right that if we think a shove will be called you can certainly do that. However , in my experience, many villains view that as set and find fold

In a strange twit of logic, I surmised he'd convince himself that I was drawing to the flush if I shoved, so that's what I did. And he called pretty quickly considering the size of the pot... with KJo!

LOL. I guess he didn't read my post that it's not the greatest idea to stack off 233BB with one pair. Good job. We all do the best we can to read the minds of the villains but those human beings do the damnedest things....good and bad

Yeah , I think a lot of people would assume that, nice move!
