hi very new player don't play allot cause I live in nyc no casino for few hours. I do play nl 1 /2 cash games. so I played for few days went up 330 dollars then I played for eight hours and I lost 500 dollars. so am down 170 dollars from my life of poker. Here is my questions from hands I had. The first time I played I was very tight and It worked the second time I played I was very lose I think to loose. so I was up 200 dollars in first hour from bluffing and 3 betting. then there was a hand I had pocket kings going up against a tight but not supper tight player I would estimate regular player. he raises 15 dollars pre flop I call. the flop comes 3 random cards quean eight 4 all of suit. he bets 25 I call then next card comes its 10 he goes all in with 161 dollars I call. he got queens which I thought he had I had kings so am winning at this point then river comes and its another queen he wins. should I have not called him and assumed he had two pairs ? so am 80 or 100 dollars in negative. then few hours latter am down another 100 so am at my last 100 dollars. I buy another 200 dollars worth of chips cause I don't want to be short stacked chips not sure if this is the right move ? am playing another couple hours am up 100 dollars. then this hand came again different player but same type of player as before. I have suited hands queen teen against heads up player she raised 15 I called her. flop comes there 2 suited cards that match mine. small cards no pictures nothing connected. she first to act she checks I bet 25 cause I want to win the pot on bluff and flush she calls. I assume she has a pair or flush draw same as mine. Next card is a blank she checks I check. (Maybe I should bet here ?) I am pretty sure she on flush draw like me. on river there flush card she checks I bet 35 she goes all in with 140 chips should I call her at this point. she shows king high flush. am down to 150 dollars. hour latter am tied up down yada yada. last hand I have ace king I bet 15 two callers call me flop comes 6 9 9 not suited guy raises 25 I call other better calls also. next card blank I check everyone checks. last card is a jack I move all in on bluff the guy calls me with jacks. he had 8 jack I am not sure if it was good bluff it was 100 dollar bluff.

    HAND 2

then this hand came again different player but same type of player as before.

I have QTs again heads up player

she raised 15 I called her.

flop comes 2 suited cards that give me a flush draw. small cards no pictures nothing connected.

she checks I bet 25 cause I want to win the pot on bluff and flush she calls.

I assume she has a pair or flush draw same as mine.

Turn card is a blank she checks I check. (Maybe I should bet here ?) I am pretty sure she on flush draw like me. on river there flush card she checks

    Hand 3

    I have AK

raise 15 ....two callers call me

Flop comes 6 9 9 not suited guy bets 25 I call other better calls also.

next card blank I check everyone checks. last card is a jack I move all in on bluff the guy calls me with jacks. he had 8 jack I am not sure if it was good bluff it was 100 dollar bluff.

As posted no one will answer you...no one will read it.

Post it something like I broke it up better yet post each hand in different post....and

That being said you got lucky......I'm waiting for a ride so I had 10 minutes to spare and tried to fix your post.....

    Hand 1...
3 bet KK pre otherwise as played probably fine...probably should have mentioned if you had K of suit...

    Favorite line
    flop comes 3 random cards Q 8 4
I lhope all flops come 3 random cards LOL...
    ..................................................
    Hand 2

Preflop...against a tight player what position did she raise from...very important....against a tight player consider folding QTs....for 15 with...180 stack..

did look at your share my pair post....you limped she then raised you...don' t limp first in....as a beginner player don't play hands OOP in raised pots with out really strong holding ....

If it was really 4 hand just raise pre flop bet flop turn and shove river
If your UTG in a 9 oir 10 handed game just fold QTs....

Bet the flop... (how is it possable that she checked and you got to bet if she has position on you)
    bet the turn...
bet the river (if played this way your all in on the river....)

As played might consider an exploitable fold against her shove....

    .......................................................................................

    Hand 3
On the flop you get a donk bet and a call....in front of you....
What type of hands do you think they have....
turn you check through....If you had more money beind might be able to take them off a pair with a turn bet and river sove....eh but it might be ok....

But once you check back the turn...your probably not getting both of them to fold the 45% of the time (or something like that you need them to fold). It might be close..

Honestly just fold the flop...you could be up a nine and go broke with an A or K hits the turn or river...or you could bluff off your stack against a pair that puts you on AK....

It is hard as a new player to play too tight. Having massive card strength to fall back on makes mistakes less bad.

It does not surprise me that the worst mistakes are after you win some. Deep stacks are tougher.

This is a simple book for new players about short stacking (less than $100 at $1-$2)

Will steer you from disaster, get you going down the right path. Not an end state for sure, but an excellent, actionable start.

I'm also not going to wade through that hand history, but just wanted to say in addition to learning how to actually play the hands, you're also going to have to learn about the ups and downs of poker (aka "swings" aka "variance") so you don't go insane over short term wins or losses, like winning or losing 10 buy ins in a game where you could win or lose much more than that.

I would post some questions in the "New To Poker" forum.
