Does Red Chip Poker have any short stack omaha videos? If so, can you post a link please. If not, has anyone tried Jnandez Shortstack Bootcamp? And if so, was it good?

Thanks

Short-stack PLO cash? No. I suspect in part this is because, outside of tournament situations, most PLO specialists regard short-stacking PLO as anathema.

"Shorstacking is one of the most powerful strategies in Pot Limit Omaha as you tend to realize your hand's equity more often and opponents rarely adjust their ranges correctly" -Jnandez

Sure, it's effective, but most people play PLO because they enjoy negotiating the complexity of multiple streets and thus tend to play it deep. Shortstacking is also one of the most powerful strategies in NLHE, it's just not very interesting.

    Anathema:
    1. A formal ecclesiastical ban, curse, or excommunication.
    2. A vehement denunciation; a curse: "the sound of a witch's anathemas in some unknown tongue" (Nathaniel Hawthorne).
    3. One that is cursed or damned.
    4. One that is greatly reviled, loathed, or shunned: "Essentialism—a belief in natural, immutable sex differences—is anathema to postmodernists, for whom sexuality itself, along with gender, is a 'social construct'" (Wendy Kaminer).
[Late Latin anathema, doomed offering, accursed thing, from Greek, from anatithenai, anathe-, to dedicate : ana-, ana- + tithenai, to put.]

Just curious which definition of anathema you are using? And, how having your opponents think any of that about your poker strategy is a bad thing?

    Thanks

My intention was to suggest that many PLO specialists regard shortstack PLO as something to be shunned, although "cursed" is pretty good. In other words, they avoid it. As a result, videos on the topic are relatively rare. But as I've just noted it's a perfectly legitimate and effective strategy that has the added benefit of relative simplicity. Which is true in any form of poker in which you find a way of limiting the number of relevant streets.
