I am UTG with QQ. I open to 2.5x ($.25) and CO raises to (.95).
SB Calls and I call, 3 way to flop
Flop comes 777
SB Checks, Hero Checks and Villian checks
Turn comes a 4, board is now 7774, SB Checks, Hero Checks and Villian bets 1/2 pot
SB Folds, Hero calls.
River is a 2 board is now 77742
Hero checks and Villian jams river for approximately pot (roughly $6.00)

Not sure if I can let this go, He did 3 bet me preflop but still feel like he could be holding 88+ and maybe AJ, I am beating majority of hands except KK and AA

I eventually make the call and he shows AA

Is there a way I could have got away from this? I even thought to myself he must have a pair but just couldn't find a fold.

Would love to hear some advice, this is my first post so if its unclear or all over the place, my mistake.

Thanks

Assign your opponent a range. Calculate the equity of your hand versus that range. Compare that to the price you are being offered.

The starting stacks would be useful here, it's possible the SPR is so low you're never folding.

I call, but I am never happy about it.

Stacks looked like 100 bb effective pre, so SPR is 3.3 on the flop. As soon as he called 1/2 pot on the turn, he was committed.
