Adjustments to CORE at the Microstakes

Hi all,

This is a question I asked in Core, and Kat suggested I bring to the Forum for further discussion.

What kind of adjustments do you bring to the lessons in Core when playing at the bottom of the Microstakes ($0.01/0.02)? Do you find that some techniques are not suitable when playing against those sorts of opponents, or at least are not optimal?

Bluffing is one that immediately springs to mind, where Microstakes players themselves are not bluffing as much and are not looking for bluffs in the same way as more knowledgable players.

Are there any other adjustments you make when targeting these players?

Cheers all.

In my experience core doesnt really teach specific strategies as much as concepts that are important for understanding and maybe even creating strategies. You can make adjustments to strategies using the concepts taught in core, but i dont think you can adjust concepts themselves if that makes sense
