Nothing in the pipeline. A couple of us in Vegas looked at the WSOP.com equivalent "Blast" SNGs. We concluded playing standard SNG strategy with perfect push-fold could probably generate a tiny edge, but the effective rake is relatively high. To me they're a clever marketing trick combining poker with a slot machine, but not very good value.
Yes they are different but they atraract lots of gamblers thus soft fields. But I agree that with a rake in mind you have to play at least at 15$ to make it woth it.
Yes, good point, the fact they attract gamblers is precisely why we looked at them. Unfortunately the combination of fast structure and high rake would make them low-EV against a field of monkeys flinging poo at each other.
