    Kind of difficult to follow this format, but the fold to the jam is... I can't imagine doing anything else. The only other thing I'd note is defaulting to 1/2-pot bet sizing, particularly at this stack depth, is not a good idea. You can bet considerably smaller.

    Well villain can do this shove with something worse than what you have? You have the pair of 8 that is on the table, he just need to have another pair to win the hand, also I think the limits you are playing can make the diference between calling here or no and if you have some history with the villain. but In general I guess almost every time you go to showdown you will loose, also you just don't have any information on what your villain can have, you were just betting all the time and he just passively calls until River which he decides Check Shove after your bet. Would he shove with nothing knowing that you have been betting 1/2 of the pot every street ? Guess no
