River call situation after review.

I was put in a difficult spot on the river here. In real time i made the call on a gut feeling rather than a maths based or logical decision.

I reviewed the hand today to see what i could have done differently and or better.

I have a couple of questions.

Firstly what do people think of my bet sizing and calling/betting decisions on each street?

Secondly after review i needed 29% equity with the range i used for villain to make a call on river, my question is what sort of range would you have put villain on by the river and would that have lead to a fold?

Do you have stats on the villain? Having a handle on their initial 3-bet range helps with the subsequent hand reading.

Not enough info on villain as only the 3rd hand he played as he was new to table.

Okay, so what 3-bet range do you give them? You know this player pool, we (mostly) don't.

To address your other question. I think calling flop is natural although that's a big bet. A smallish value bet on the turn also makes sense.

The reason the preflop 3b range is critical to constrain here is that I know players who get to the river with precisely one flush combo. If, on the other hand, someone was using our 3-bet ranges, they would have a lot.

I think the 3 bet ranges of the players in the bb position in the pool is mostly broadway and pairs with some Axs.

Can you dig that out of your database?

As to the river. We basically have a bluff catcher. If broadways are in V's range, I guess they might blast off with KX hands here making the call easier. Ordinarily I'd be asking if they ever bluff here.

Anyway, overall looks good to me, but maybe our cash-game specialists have a different take.
