Any2 vs. limping Whale: turned straight missing value on flushy-river?

I need some advice how to not miss as much Value on the River. I remember freezing with the river card hitting as I thought its gonna kill the action and i even thouht i'm beat.

Given that you somehow got a massive turn overbet called, why not lead river?
