Hero (SB): $3.19 - VPIP: 20, PFR: 16, 3B: 8, AF: 4,2, Hands: 2599
BB: $1.35 - VPIP: 63, PFR: 1, 3B: 0, AF: 0,6, Hands: 83
UTG: $1.26 - VPIP: 38, PFR: 32, 3B: 0, AF: 2,9, Hands: 84
CO: $1.91 - VPIP: 22, PFR: 19, 3B: 9, AF: 1,5, Hands: 105
BTN: $1.97 - VPIP: 50, PFR: 23, 3B: 16, AF: 1,3, Hands: 80

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is SB with Jclub.gif Jheart.gif
UTG raises to $0.05, CO calls $0.05, BTN raises to $0.23, Hero raises to $0.61, 3 folds, BTN calls $0.38

4B here with JJ may seem spewy but to me it's essentially a 3B since the original raise was closer to a min raise. I was also trying to discourage other oppenents that may have called with overcards to my JJ if I had just flatted the .21c raise.

Flop: ($1.34) 6diamond.gif 7diamond.gif Tdiamond.gif(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.00, Hero raises to $2.58, BTN calls $0.36 all in

When villain bet $1 he's already commited himself. No reason to call here imo, money is going in anyways.

Turn: ($4.06) 3club.gif(2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($4.06) 4club.gif(2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $4.06
Hero shows Jclub.gif Jheart.gif
BTN shows 9spade.gif 9heart.gif
Hero wins $2.59
Hero wins $1.22
(Rake: $0.25)

I think you played the hand well. My understanding is that 4Betting JJ in the SB in a 6Max game is pretty standard, but not TT. (So it's a close decision.) I agree with defending the flop, because the button has a wide range, and the CR is a good idea because he might have a diamond.

Are you 100% sure he's going to bet the flop?

The worse thing that can happen is you both check and he gets a free card to any number of nasty turn cards...

Given the action pre & your read on the utg raiser, I don't hate a fold pre, even in a 6max game.

    Nit? Ha

As played out I think this is a good spot for a check call. I don't see much value in raising? Give him an opportunity to barrel his naked diamond or bluffs. If we check raise the flop and get it in, I feel as though, when called we're almost always up against an over pair, a set, or a made flush, given the action pre. Everything else is folding. Unless your opponent is stacking off with 99 ;) then get it in!!
