I've been playing NL since January 2003, I've moved around somewhat (army brat) so played in places like LA, Vegas, Miami, AC, and now I'm in NY. I have moments where I want to continue to work on NL and then have mixed game envy...my issue in life is that I'm a jack of all trades / master of none so that may suit me, although I'm so stuck in NL mode, I contemplate if it would be worth moving to other games...but moving around seems to be a theme for me. I also like to talk in run-on sentences and uses ellipses a lot.
Don't get me wrong I'm not tired of NL, I just feel like everyone has become so savvy at NL, but I'm never bored. To the contrary the obsession continues...
That be me, folks. Hi, nice to cyber meetcha!
Welcome to the party! Glad you've been enjoying my content, and hopefully you enjoy RCP as a whole even more

You sound like an old retiree golfer Gibert, lol Good luck at the tables.....
There are still many players who just know to play better cards. Poker is alive and kicking.
OMG that was a funny one!
I started listening to the RCP Podcasts and was stoked that the message was aimed directly at me - a live, low stakes no limit amateur looking to crush and move up. After getting the PRO Membership a few months ago, I've been extraordinarily pleased with the various video series as well as the engagement of the pros with the community.
Some of the more basic concepts that I'm still trying to refine at the $1/$2 table are my CBetting frequencies (SplitSuit's "Fighting for Pots at $1/$2" video was really helpful), identifying profitable bluffing opportunities, establishing preflop bet sizing (Soto's video on this featured some great insight into raising for isolation as the primary purpose rather than raising for value as we might think by default. There was also a good discussion on thresholds that relates to this), narrowing my opponent's range (I know SplitSuit has a whole series on this, but I haven't bit the bullet just yet), and staying just one level above my opponent.
Enjoying it all so far! Great stuff. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into the content!

Last month I resigned from a VP role working in corporate finance. I grew tired with the industry as a whole and wanted to do something else. I recently bought a house down here that happened to be a right next to a cardhouse down here that charges hourly seat rental as well as monthly membership fees. I play mostly 1/2 there and it has proven highly profitable over the last 7 months. Combination of running well and the excessive ABC passive play seen there.
My primary focus is learning to build a solid 1/2 foundation that is independent from simply running well. The split suit videos are amazing and I am reading the course and applications of NLHE. I also just ordered playing the player. There are some amazing members here. I feel like it is night and day compared to the old 2 plus 2 days.
