I just had to share this hand. This is a 4nl full ring.

BTN: 125.25 BB (VPIP: 12.48, PFR: 9.25, 3Bet Preflop: 6.86, Hands: 588)
Hero (SB): 145 BB
BB: 50.5 BB (VPIP: 16.83, PFR: 10.89, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 101)
UTG: 33.25 BB (VPIP: 38.30, PFR: 4.26, 3Bet Preflop: 5.26, Hands: 47)
UTG+1: 108.5 BB (VPIP: 17.19, PFR: 12.50, 3Bet Preflop: 3.77, Hands: 195)
MP: 113.5 BB (VPIP: 37.50, PFR: 30.00, 3Bet Preflop: 7.69, Hands: 41)
MP+1: 100 BB (VPIP: 10.57, PFR: 7.72, 3Bet Preflop: 1.20, Hands: 248)
CO: 51.75 BB (VPIP: 17.20, PFR: 8.60, 3Bet Preflop: 3.33, Hands: 93)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has :Ad :As
fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 10 BB, fold, BTN calls 7 BB

This is a perfect spot to 3bet. Im not exactly always 3betting with nut hands vs btn and co openers, and the regs know that. SO this spot is perfect to induce some calling mistakes and to build my image as a players who 3bets light in late position. Plus. I have AA.

I do expect some calling mistakes from players when they know im 3betting light, so when he calls Im putting him on TT-KK and AQ (since he knows im capable of 3betting light and wants to punish me postflop IP). Keep in mind, this is a 12/9/4 with a Fv3bet of 20 (1/5).

Let's go to the flop :)

Flop : (21 BB, 2 players) :4c :6s :3c
Hero bets 16.75 BB, BTN raises to 44 BB, Hero raises to 135 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 71.25 BB and is all-in

When he check-raises the flop He's probably assuming that his overpair is good enough and will be able to beat my range in this spot. He's even probably trying to induce a shove to call with TT-KK. So, I shove my stack in his face and he calls. :)

Turn : (251.5 BB, 2 players) :2d

River : (251.5 BB, 2 players) :Ks

Are you ready to know what hand he had in this spot? Let me remind you: This is a 12/9/4 player.
BTN shows :Ah :4s (One Pair, Fours)
(Pre 7%, Flop 10%, Turn 9%)

Hero shows :Ad :As (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 93%, Flop 90%, Turn 91%)

Hero wins 236.75 BB

Yup. He called a shove on the flop with 2nd pair. 2ND PAIR! AFTER I SHOVED over his raise on this flop! He calls with 2nd pair!

This is something I would never expect from a player with these stats over 588 hands.
