Hand range in aggro game??

$1/$2/$2 game

I've only played this type of aggro game maybe once or twice before and I basically became a huge nit and hope for the best. There will be no limps and open raise would be between $25-$40 (12.5x to 20x) as the opener and average stack is only $150-$300. You can't set mine, can't play SCs, you are basically limited to AQ+ 99+ depending on where the raise came from. I tried to get position on some of the aggro players, but then it turned into 3-4 players doing it. I limped with KK once and AA once and no one bit. It wasn't wild game, but it was as if they were stealing blinds from MP and EP. Worse hand I seen them play was

UTG open $25
folds to SB shoves all in $150
UTG: snap calls AsJs
SB has AQo

Other hands either MP or EP would open $25 -$40 most of the time it would just result in everyone folding and move onto the next hand. It was very odd as it didn't happen regular enough to call them loose and no bad hands were ever really shown, but this aggro bet sizing went on for about 2 hrs. I finally got tired of being card dead and left with a small profit rather then risking my stack. Going back in the morning anyways.

If the open is $25-$40 in front of me and I am sitting with $200-$300 in my stack what hands are you playing? Assuming they are raising legit hands AJ+ KQ+ 99+? Also at my casino it seems to be becoming a theme where players are raising JJ to like $40 pre as an open. I mean its super easy to spot and put them on the hand I just do not understand why they play it so scared. Playing JJ can't possible be that bad. They are either going to win win $4 from the blinds or lose their stack when someone shoves with QQ+.

Anyways do I stick to AQ+ 99+ here vs this aggro players? They play as if it was 2/3/5 game but with such shallow stacks can't do much.

It all depends on if this really is their standard open and if they never limp. If both of those things are true then you kinda just have to suck it up and play your standard range because they are doing it with a much wider range than their big bet is suggesting.

On the other hand if sometimes they open for 25 and some times 40 and other times they do limp then you need to start looking at dividing their opening range and working from there.

I made a comment towards one player who opened $25 with kk then 2 hands later opened $26 so I suggested he had AA. Guy in the bb 3 bet to $80 with $100 behind and utg shoved all in. He ended up having AA and BB just having fun I guess had 76s trying to make an advance 3 bet and call off but doesn't understand ranges well i guess.

Point being the betting tells are there if I stay long enough as you said $25 may be there aj kq aq range and 40 maybe there TT+ AK range.

So many players are my casino are wasting ton of value making these huge raises just to win $4 then sit there for the next hour and play trash only to complain they can't win a pot lol.

Yeah, there just isn't much room to do anything in these games. Sit back, see if you can find spots to 3bet wider (esp if their bet sizing hints they are more likely to fold to a 3bet), and play pretty straight forward.
