some pre hand info, my image at this point is extremely wet I won a big hand with an attempted button steal that flopped trips with 26s and had been otherwise pretty loose postflop. The villian is a TAG that would 99.5% raise me with QQ+ preflop. Also its about halfway through tourney still aways from the money so here's the hand.

Welcome to the forum! I'm not sure what we are line-checking here exactly. I think you were right to deduce you were way ahead of his range on turn, so good 3bet (although you could also flat to keep his bluffs in). Nice hand.

Why are you posting this hand? Is it just because he hit his 15% equity on the river?

I would only comment that the btn and co both are pretty loose vpip wise so you can raise a little larger than 2.5 pre. Other than that well played.

I am not sure what we are learning from this hand other than you got sucked out on.

Lol i realized that after the first guy posted. will be posting for now on only with hands where the line is questionable.

I guess I just wanted to be validated on the fact that he wouldnt be holding anything better than me almost never.

that is correct. QQ+ 3 bets pre on a rare occasion he shows up with A3, but very unlikely he raises quads on the turn instead of letting you barrel. You will see a lot of 88-TT hands in this spot.

Yea i coulda swore he was gunna flip up 88-TT when i played it

Don't worry Rezzen, Austin likes making these types of posts too (I kid, I kid). You are totally off the hook since this was one of your first posts. We do try to avoid making bad beat/cooler type posts because usually there isn't much to be learned from those hands.

That being said, a no-brainer hand for an expert can still be an unsure spot for a newer player, so I don't hesitate to post something you are unsure of, even if you think others might think its a trivial spot (not to assume you are a new player or anything, just that everyone is at a different place in the poker journey).
