This was one of these hands where I just knew it was going to draw me in for a big pot if the correct turn card arrived. Did I play it correctly?

I would have a hard time showing a profit limping first in from this position.

Noted for the future. But I'm not sure that would change the middle and end of this hand at all. The button will call here with 77 preflop all day long.

Tommy Angelo and @persuadeo have written about reciprocity. You have identified a key part of this hand that many other players will likely ignore. What does it mean for you that the button will call all day with 77?

I'll have to look up this reciprocity discussion because I'm not familiar with it.

I just feel that if I do in fact raise my standard $0.90 preflop from early position that my raise will still be called by 77 on the button. If I Cbet, yes I'm in control and will most likely get called...and the turn will still get us to the same finality.

What is the "key part" that you are referring to?

So if your standard .90 raise will be frequently called by a 50bb stack in position, do you think you should open your standard range? How does 98s make money?
