LATB Session 7

For those of you that haven't gotten into this type of content take a look. This analysis of
live play is pure gold. Doug and Ed once again break down live hands from Live at the Bike.
The style of play in these games tends to be loose and the action gets pushed often. This particular game is not off the rails yet but with players like Wayne in the game anything can happen. Interesting point Doug correctly describes Wayne as a "Prop" player. This player is paid by the casino to play in certain games as a host and to push the action. There is a great incentive for them to play lots of hands with speculative holdings. As a side note they are playing with their own money which adds a catch 22. They need to play profitably but they are obliged to give action. Watching these LA games you will agree that Poker is alive and well in LA.

So, to be clear, Prop players are not there to "push the action" they are there to fill a seat. The style they choose is of no concern to the cardroom.

Most props end up in a self-preservation mode knowing that they can make a significant amount of money from the house for their hourly for being in the games.

Point taken. As a point of discussion is it fair to say that the casino's wants an action player in the seat as opposed to someone playing tight thereby making the games better.

Is it still paid members only? Used to watch every episode, but stopped once it turns to membership product.

LATB is broadcasted free live 7 pm pt M-F on Twitch. The monthly sub for LATB lets you go back to see previous show on demand. Well worth the small monthly fee.

Just as an fyi.. Bruno is a Maryland Live regular and the aggression he showed in this and episode 8 is fairly representative of how some of the 2/5 games can get there

would love for Ed and Doug to have a more "prepared" presentation of what we're supposed to get out of the hand & analysis.

35 minutes to go over just 2 LATB very simple hands really seems excessive.

LOL at not even getting to see how Pilot handles the river and how Shaun reacts to this.
