Ive been making a living playing 1/2 poker? That can never last forever, I was never far ahead, now im broke. And then everything is falling apart, no credit, car breaking and cant figure out whats wrong with it. I really think its good for me, it makes me get introspective.

Well if you made a living at poker even for 6 months you are ahead of at least 95% of players :)

I rented a jeep compass, 4 cylinder suv- she squirrel is catching me. My car kinda works but makes a noise. I replaced 2 wheel bearings but it took forever with the ordering, waiting, installing. Its still not fixed as of today.

I can't help but wonder if this post and your other recent post are related/connected in some way.

What is the rake/drop and cap in the 1/2 game you play? I would say 80-90% of 1/2 games are unbeatable for livable amounts given cap and rake realities.

Also, sorry if I'm sounding glib. I am sorry that you've hit this point, and hope you can find a good way forward.

Win rate for 1/2 if your crushing is well under 20 dollars an hour my friend . Without health insurance ..no vacation hours ....and 0 safety net . Get a job and play with a flexible bankroll man . Get the online thing going and study like your the third tiger in line to get on noahs ark bro .

Backing Squirrel will buy you at .95. He'll want you in a lot of tourneys, of course. You won't need your car to work, you'll just sleep at the casino.

I understand this stuff, I have averaged 30 per hour in the last 14 months, and its not one heater, its like up 4k down 4k but more up than down. My local games are great I have to presume. There is one casino next to me and i think that place represents the normal 1/2 games- its horrible, no rebuys. My reg room sees no less than 3k in rebuys on a 1/2 between 5 and midnight/closing.
My reg room gets deep often and its not unusual for 3 people at a 1/2 to have 1k +.

Poker payed for my health insurance last year but the doctors told me my knee is fine. But I can barely walk into the grocery store or casino. ive been known to use a wheelchair on the way in. Thanks obamacare and I hope for a better version of healthcare/ not insurance which never pays anything unless you are on a deathbed.

Sounds like you need to get a grip on your finances. Check out Dave Ramsey. He changed my life by helping me understand personal finance and have a plan to be successful.

However variance clearly is headed your way right ? Games are good I get it but suddenly finances are out of control ...... Hard to finance a car without a job you can use as reference or taxes that say you are unemployed . Consider a job a front if you will for your true source of income .

I have some guns to sell, Im not losing confidence. The title was razzing myself. The job thing is confusing because I feel incompetent as an employee with my gimp knee. I dont know what to do?

my best bet is moving up, ive pushed the 1/2 thing too far. Its not an issue of beating the game, its an issue that I need more.
Many 1/2 player make a move to 2/5 but almost none of them ever crushed 1/2 like I do. When I play 2/5 at the casino it often seems like there is less money on the table than im used to at 1/2. That has made me move down after starting at 2/5. BUT, my reg room runs a huge 2/5 table max buyin with genuine whales throwing around money. And im a pussy, I never start at 2/5, sometimes I move over later and if anything they are more leery of me because they do notice me winning alot when I come from 1/2 deepstacked.

I got enough guns for a bankroll but ill just keep the cz customs cz75 and the grayguns tricked out 226, and the benelli shotgun, and at least 1 daniel defense ar.

Failure is where I would start .....We have all been there ...and then we said fuck that ...failure isn't exactly an option right ? I got a fucked up back so I chose swimming as my exercise of choice . It will change your life. Incompetence is not being able to pull off with or w/o pickles at mcdonalds...happens all the time . Don't let depression get you in it's grips man . Watch Dr Cardners vids. Become an expert on knee injuries ...and make it happen .

Hmmm, does everyone here count their bankrolls in terrifying sounding guns? If so I might not fit in very well at the meetup...

its just a gun, I dont leave home with them. Dont be in fear, we are all good people.
And im joking here, but its funny how numbers and letters sound terrifying, to each their own. Guns tend to hold value if resold, thats why they are an option. You wouldnt want me broke, homeless, no car, but having to carry all these guns would you?

At that point I will be more intimidating than old school Phil Ivey.

My concealed carry license is legal in in nevada so yah hopefully Ill be accepted for who I am .Its likely you will never notice though . Be my pleasure to go plink at some targets with some of my cooler guns during our off time . But yah this isn't the forum for this discussion :)

I was honest when I mentioned having to sell some to get by. They mostly just sit there anyways.

I'm confused - you say you are making $30/HR with an avg of 30 hours a week. So $900 a week tax free.

Seems like a gun-freakout thing going on. Is that Cecil the Lion in your photo? It’s true that that stupid dentist killed him with a gun, but only after wounding him with a crossbow first. Cecil had been suffering for two days before the hunting party was able to find him and pop a cap in his ass to put him out of his misery. The gun was an instrument of mercy in this case. (Bang! Pow! Meow!)

It was really just a joke. But no, its not Cecil, that is a picture of a lion i took during my 2 years living and working in Botswana studying lion conservation and the costs and benefits associated with trophy hunting and safari tourism. Thanks for the lecture though.

Poker is a war, the table is the battlefield, your bankroll is your ammo, and you are the general in a glorious battle royal. May the felt run red with thine enemies chips and floweth into your stack!

So yeah that analogy is actually pretty good.
