Hi everyone, I'm David from the Phoenix area. I've jumped back into poker a couple of months ago and this time trying to take the study and learning side more seriously. I've jumped around a bit from LearnWPT to Jonathan Little's content and some other sites and books in between. I found Red Chip Poker through the Unfolding Poker book and the many great podcasts. I'm now browsing the site and considering a membership. I've also recently read The Mental Game of Poker and seeing some pretty good flaws in my mental game, will be working on that aspect too.

For Poker, I currently play exclusively online at IgnitionPoker. Using Bitcoin, online poker in the US is alive and well there. They've got good cash games and a great selection of tournaments. It's not PokerStars, but there's always plenty of people online to get a good game going.

I'm also eager to get into your forum here, I've messaged some on the Poker Subreddit, but the trolls make it a pretty rough neighborhood to stay in too long. I like the 2 strike rule here, so I hope to get involved.

Lastly, I'm curious if there are any other Phoenix players here, I'm not quite ready to go live, but I'm wondering what casinos you all like in Phoenix and which ones have the best games.

Thanks and talk to you all soon!

Wild horse has friendly dealers and players. NL not available in Phoenix area. At WH you can start with 2-100 spread with blinds at 1-2.

The 3-100 at Talking Stick is a good game. I was just in town last weekend and my gf let me play while she slot machined lol, only got 90 minutes in but better than watching her play slots.

3-300 spread limit at Talking Stick is my main game, plays just like 1/2 with a max buy in of $300. You get all sorts of players in this one but definitely better action and more consistency than wild horse pass. I live down in the East Valley near Wild Horse and make the drive up to TSR when I play. If you're looking for an intro to live games here I would suggest getting your feet wet at wild horse on the weekends at 2-100
