Tri-State Area (NY / NJ / PA / CT)

We have a big poker scene up here in the Northeast, @ChipXtractor has organized some killer unofficial meetups, and I know that I run into at least one Red Chipper every time I hit the casino. We run squid deep up here.
This is us.
This thread serves as a place for us to connect on upcoming poker trips, inside tips, population exploits, promo exploits, etc. for live poker rooms in and around the Northeast US.
Let's meet up in July! Last three weekends... July 15/16, July 22/23, July 29/30... let me know what dates you're going to be playing, maybe we can get a group together.
I plan on visiting as many different casinos as I can over the coming months. Planning a cool new direction for Strategy in Action and I want to hit them all up:
Rivers Casino (Schenectady, NY)
Turning Stone (Verona, NY)
Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT)
Foxwoods (Mashantucket, CT)
Sands (Bethlehem, PA)
Sugar House / Parx (Philadelphia, PA)
Borgata / Golden Nugget / Harrah’s / Tropicana / Bally's (Atlantic City, NJ)
Please let me know if I missed any.
Let's start a little Northeast poker gang up in here.

@zacshaw, I've been thinking that a great topic for a podcast or Strategy in Action would be a look at small casinos in under-served markets. The new room in Schenectady has replaced several underground rooms in the capitol district. As a result, there are a lot of players at the 2/5 and 5/10 level playing 1/2 since they only run a couple of tables at the bigger games. This has kept a lot of the more casual players away from this room, resulting in what I perceive as tougher 1/2 games than might be seen in larger markets. I don't have regular access to bigger markets, though, so I'd like to see if that perception is shared by those who have played more in different settings. Another aspect worth exploring is the types of local playing styles and "groupthink" that occur in areas where playing options are limited.
Drop me a PM if you want to discuss this topic further, or let me know if you want to meet up sometime when you are in Schenectady.

Is your picture 'mooning' us?
I've never been, so it's the one I'm most excited to hit up. It's 3 hours away from me, but the Rivers has been punishing me ( @Eon137, thanks for explaining why.) Looking to try something new.
I am hoping to do one-on-one interviews with fellow Red Chippers on location when I take my poker trip each month. Kind of like the opposite of what's going on in the poker vlogging world with Polk, Neeme , The Trooper, etc. Instead of the show focusing on me, I want to focus on the people I meet. I've found that people crazy enough to take this game of poker seriously often have fascinating stories to tell.
We wanted to create a few threads to anchor discussion in the various poker 'scenes' across America (and eventually, the world?) Open to any of your thoughts on how to continue to develop this geographic group into something fun and useful for all of us. This thread is for anyone to hijack with news of a good game or a poker trip being planned.
SugarHouse on July 22/23 is locked up on my calendar. I figure I'll be there Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon.
I am going to find a well-lit, relatively quiet corner of the casino to interview any Red Chippers who are interested.
@ChipXtractor After I got stacked for $300 in a Big O game in Vegas a few weeks ago, I quickly realized my live bankroll is not ready for games with 'O' in them. Online is a different story, my ROI on $16.50 PLO8 tourneys has been 400%. Maybe it's just a live game selection leak from always sitting down with Poker's 1%?
I am playing more tournaments now than anything else and might get into the $125 $5K guaranteed at Sugar House. Will have to play some $1/$2 NL for the blog though!
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Who else is in?
Anyone else on board? I will be at the casino Sat evening and Sun afternoon. Cash games Sat night, playing the $125 at 1pm on Sunday.
Boston Ma. here. Mostly Foxwoods, but I plan on branching out. :-)
I would inquire about this when you get there. One dealer told me they rake $17 out of the $45 with these. Seems like a lot. haha
