This hand starts with Hero opening the BU for 3x (don't like this sizing unless it's for value vs the fish that calls us) and we get a call from the SB. SB is running 100/20 on just 5 hands so the stats mean almost nothing BUT most good regs don't have a calling range from the SB AND he's bled off 20% of his stack in the 5 hands he's been at the table...he's a fish.

My standard opening range from the BU is pretty wide. I'm not sure how much more I could widen it if I'm targeting a fish in the blinds given how wide it already is. From earlier positions it's easier to find playable hands to add when you're fish hunting.

I have him calling really wide in the SB. I give him credit for 3-betting AA-QQ and AK but who knows if that's correct.

AA-22,AKo-A2o,KQo-K7o,QJo-Q8o,JTo-J8o,T9o-T8o,98o,87o,76o,AKs-A2s,KQs-K7s,QJs-Q8s,JTs-J8s,T9s-T7s,98s-97s,87s-86s,76s-75s,65s-64s,54s-53s,43s for 44.8% form or 594 combos

Right now I'd say our ranges are pretty close but mine is slightly stronger because it contains AA-QQ and AK.

The flops comes

My ranges equity: 50.75%

Semi-dry and dynamic flop comes. When we're the PFR we either want to see the highest cards come or the lowest cards come. This is the latter. The flops slightly favors us especially because it's dynamic and we're IP.

Now the SB donks us for the pot sized bet. This further increases my suspicion that he's a fish. He has a FDONK stat of 50%. He's not aware of the concept of a procedural check and I think most fish do this when they hit the flop. The sizing makes me think it's a better hand rather than a weaker one but I can't be sure. He does it with middle pair+

I think I'm floating here a good bit. I'd call with my FD's and OESD's as well as some overcards. I'm not getting the right price to draw at all but I think skill advantage and position go a long way towards floating. A pot sized bet has a RFE of 50% which is about exactly what I'm folding here - making it nice and 0EV for him.

My equity advantage dropped a good bit here because I decided to float with some stuff while his range is heavily weighted towards a made hand. Along those same lines, his range is now a bit stronger than mine.

He again bets pot and now I'm folding my draws and middle pairs. I'm basically continuing with TP+ at this point facing continued aggression from a fish at the micros.

I don't think he continues to bet like this with weak pairs so he's continuing with most of his previous range.

AA-TT,88,44,22,ATo,KTo,QTo,JTo,T9o-T8o,ATs,KTs,QTs,JTs,T9s-T7s for 39.6% of previous range or 110 combos

JJ-88,44,22,ATo,KTo,QTo,JTo,T9o,ATs,KTs,QTs,JTs,T9s-T7s for 79.6% of previous range for 92 combos

The river comes

The river completes the flush and now I'm sad I didn't float again with FD's haha. My range is now stronger because it only containes TP+ whereas his still contains middle pairs.

He shoves all in and we call. Tbh I'm not concerned at all about the flush. I doubt he'd triple barrel semi-bluff me given who he is. I'd call him down with TP or better. His shove isn't even an overbet so we only need about 30% equity. I think we're good at least that often.

JJ-TT,88,44,22,ATo,KTo,QTo,JTo,T9o,ATs,KTs,QTs,JTs,T9s-T7s for 93.3% of previous range or 85 combos
