Bovada or Global?

Global seems to be growing in popularity but I still need Bovada mentioned quite a bit. Wondering what your experience is on these two sites? Also is it still bovada or is it ignition now? I switched to ACR right before the transition.

My main game was zone poker on there mostly 10nl and 25nl playing Two tables of each, did ok but nothing fantastic. Seemed pretty nitty so I tried using aggression until they fought back, which was hard because always new players so you dont know how tight or loose they are.

Wanted to know if global has zone or zoom type poker available and how profitable it is for a comptent player as well as bovada..

Please share your experience with each.

Global is great! transaction is faster than it is with bit coin.

What types of games? Nothing similar to zoom poker right? Heard it was a nit fest. I would be interested in small games $10-$50 to try it out. Idk long term win rate online any more though. I seen blackrain only making like 1.5bb\100 so seems like a tiny win rate.

Bovada is the best. You will see things like this often!!!! KK raised on button 3bb. SB raises 10bb. We reraise 25bb and SB calls. Flop 3d 3d 6h and SB open shoves 70BB we call and villain shows JTs or AJo or 22! You can base your decisions on what the population is doing in terms of ranges, target players with less than a full stack (these are straight fish usually), and if you play regular tables you can use holdem indicator as as hud which is super helpful for multi-tournaments. It's hard to make money at smaller stakes because of thed raked though.

Bovada mimics live play more than any other site.
You can also tell which regs are multi-tabling on ACR or another site. Their timing patterns are a bit weird. Like they will take too long vs a steal then fold. Usually their timing is within a set specific long range that isn't a norm for online. So say people take 2-5s to decide they would be 4-8s spread. They have actions at other tables. If you can tell who is multi-tabling (10, 12, 20 tables) it's pretty easy to play vs them as Bovada has no HUD. They arent fucking around thin 3b'ing you.

Bovada seems to be the consensus. Maybe i gotta cash out on acr and go back there. Thanks for the feed back. Ill dabbel when i can't go to the casino. In the past i ran up my bankroll small amount playing zone then one day just got coolered left and right. Raise 88 flop j83, bet and i get raised so i 3bet, turn J i bet get called. River J83J2 and i bet and get jammed on given we were 200bb+ deep and i run into quads. This happened a couple of times during the same session and where i figured folding 22-66 utg six max will stop me from having so many set over set hands, but it didn't. Maybe this time ill have more luck.

That's online poker for you seeing 6-8x as many hands means you will have 6-8x the bad beats. I ran into Quads vs fullhouses, set over set, and set vs over pair multiple times in one 6 hr session getting stacked 5x.

Bovada is getting worse and worse each year BTW. 2 years ago I couldnt find a good table @ 1/2 often.
Last year the 50c/1 tables started to dry out with a split between competent and fish

@Fuzzypup I would disagree... it's more aggro fish but still fish nonetheless... in other words the fish found the bet and raise button but isn't sure exactly how it's supposed to be used i.e.
Hero is on button with :AD: :Kd
    Hero raises $6
SB (aggro fish 3b every single hand he's played raises always when bet into >40vpip) raises $20. Hero calls $14.
    ($43)Flop :7d :7c :2d
SB bets $15 Hero raises $45 SB reraises $140 effective. We call and he shows :Tc :6h

Villain instaquits after. I've got so many examples like this and at least in this one he had a backdoor draw. People are shipping 300bb+ with 0 equity dead to running trips or drawing dead

heres my opinion on the trade off of global vs bovada/ignition

. Bovada: only 4 tables, poker client is sub par. Fish are populous, at all levels, and anonymous games work great for those willing to play a more exploitative style. Allows session hud (Holdem indicator, hm2/pt4 screen catchers). Also has fast fold poker.

Global: fish are still as populous. Has much less history than the established bodog brand. Easier deposit/withdrawal with PayPal. Then again PayPal dollars don’t gain 300% in a month... but that’s beside the point. Also allows you to take notes on players long term, but no huds.

Haven’t played tourneys on global but I will put in a good word for sngs and Mtts on Bovada.

Overall I like the anonymity and zone games that Bovada provides, so I choose that one, but I can see either one being a good option, player dependent.
